 With a production run from 2004-2012, the "997" generation 911 was hailed as being a "back to basics" resurgence for Porsche following on from the very much underwhelming "996 generation." Originally offered with the 3.6 or 3.8 engines, the Carrera was seen to be the most popular choice, with the flat 6 engine producing the growl that they are known for and mated to either a 6-Speed Manual Transmission or a 5-Speed "Tiptronic" Automatic transmission. The latter was replaced with an ultra-slick 7-Speed Twin Clutch PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) Automatic Transmission which was lightyears ahead of the outdated and sluggish tiptronic transmission.

 During 2009, the second generation 997 was launched, featuring revised styling, a much better and more modern PCM (Porsche Communication Management) User Interface, revised front bumper with larger intakes, LED rear lights and indicators, new projector headlamps with LED Running Lights and a new engine with direct injection which also reduced CO2 emissions and allowed for lower road fund license banding in the UK. These minor changes enhanced the car dramatically and cemented the Porsche in being a usable, everyday sports car.

 We are very pleased to offer this stunning, late model second generation 2011 Porsche 911 "997" Carrera PDK 3.6 Coupe. This Carrara White with Full Black Leather interior example is fitted with the 3.6 litre flat 6 engine producing 345BHP and 288ib/ft of torque, allowing for a 0-60mph time of just 4.7 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 155MPH. What's more, this stunning coupe is fitted with the later, much more desirable twin clutch PDK 7-Speed Automatic Transmission. This gearbox really is fantastic. It is effortlessly smooth and refined in automatic mode but it is also fitted with steering wheel mounted paddles to allow for a super-quick manual gearchange if preferred.

 Originally supplied by Porsche Centre Cambridge on 26/7/2011, it has been fully maintained by themselves throughout its life. One main point to note is that the 911 service intervals are only due every 2 years or 20,000 miles, whichever is reached first, further cementing the image that these really are a usable everyday sports car. "AJ11 NXR" has had three services in total, all carried out by Porsche Centre Cambridge. The first was on 6/9/2012 at 20,481 miles, the second was on 23/5/2013 at 39,363 miles and the third was on 15/5/2015 at 57,302 miles which was a major service which also included the important spark plug change.

 On the time basis, the next service will be due on 15/5/2017. 2011 BMW M3 (E93) Convertible 4.0 V8 DCT For Sale at Mastercars Hitchin £25,995 with FLEXIBLE FINANCE OPTIONS

 With its world premier at the 2007 Frankfurt Motorshow, the fourth generation BMW M3 was met with critical acclaim, with Motor Trend magazine claiming it to be the "world's single best car" and Jeremy Clarkson remarking that "this is the best car, and always will be, and there is no point in ever thinking otherwise." Based on the then current E90/E92/E93 platform, the production car featured flared arches, a sculpted bonnet, larger alloy wheels and quad exhaust tailpipes. To completely revamp the "M" badge as well, for the first time BMW ditched the 6-Cylinder engines for which the M3 was renowned for and replaced it with a 4.0 V8.

 The 4.0 V8 engine packs a serious amount of punch, with 414BHP and 295 ib/ft of torque, allowing for a 0-60mph time of sub 5 seconds. Originally offered with just a 6-Speed Manual Transmission, as of 2008 there was also the option of a 7-Speed DCT Twin Clutch Semi-Automatic Gearbox which reduces gearshift pauses by a tenth of a second and actually reduces the 0-60mph time but 0.2 seconds compared with the manual. The DCT is a truly superb gearbox and is a massive improvement over the slow and dim-witted SMG gearbox fitted to the previous E46 generation. The DCT is very slick on both auto and manual changes.
