Since its introduction in 2011, it's fair to say the Range Rover Evoque has been a runaway success. Like it or loathe it, the "entry" into Range Rover ownership has been lapped up by millions the world over with well in excess of 600,000 having been built since production started in July 2011. Available in both 3 and 5 door variants and with a choice of 3 petrol and diesel engines, in the UK, diesel engines account for well over 90% of all Evoque sales. 2015 saw the complete model range of Evoques updated with subtle styling revisions, updated interior and updated engine and gearbox combinations.
As featured in our November 2016 "66" model, the updated cars feature the latest JLR "Ingenium" Diesel Engine. This is far superior to the previous generation diesel engine as they are more efficient, cheaper on tax and better on fuel, with a combined fuel economy of 55.4MPG, a fantastic figure for an all-purpose four wheel drive vehicle. The superb Ingenium engine is also mated to a 9-Speed Automatic Transmission which is very quick to respond and offers a very linear power delivery with instantaneous power on offer throughout the rev range.
As with all Range Rover products, the price bracket for the Evoque is very wide, with brand new prices range from £30,000 up to almost £60,000 before you even start adding the all important optional extras. The range includes SE, SE tech, Landmark, HSE Dynamic, HSE Dynamic Lux and Autobiography.
